I am an emotional guy and yet, business is a numbers game.

What's beautiful about business is that it unifies the human experience with numerical mastery.

Think about it for a moment, using McDonald's as an example:

It's been a while in the making...

Tuesday 1st November 2022, we moved into our new offices. It took us 2 weeks to modernise and deck it out. Some pieces of furniture are still on their way.

Dare I say so myself: the place looks AMAZING!!

One of the walls is painted in Aztec gold with the words "Think BIG" attached. We had the sign hand made in Portugal.

Another wall has a feature showing a lush green Scandinavian forest. It brings peace and relaxation to the workplace all the way from Sweden.

The idea is to have room to grow our team and share the space with Members as part of "Think BIG Coworking" - a new business we started with my wife Andrea managing it.

We have 10 hot desks in an open plan environment, 10 permanent workstations across three offices, a separate meeting room, and a well appointed kitchen with bar table and stools.

For people that are just looking for a prestigious business address, we have them covered as well.

Okay. We're back from "The Edge" retreat for entrepreneurs which we hosted in sunny Cairns in Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺. 

Earlier this year, we surveyed our network of business owners and it was evident that people were yearning for immersive networking and learning while enjoying a 'work-holiday' somewhere else.

We made it happen and took a calculated risk with a new event that brought fresh content as a conversation starter centred around a bold topic such as exponential growth.

"What will it take for your business to grow exponentially in the months and years ahead?"

"Who do you have to become as a leader?"

Questions like these kept us busy...

Instead of the retreat being set up as a seminar or conference, we learned that people value peer-to-peer learning and a safe environment with robust debates in which fellow entrepreneurs challenge each other and bounce ideas of each other.

Having been a business owner for 11 years now, I asked myself who I easily relate to and feel most affinity with.

To me, it means that you have a calling, a passion to help clients in your particular field of expertise, and you live it.

You also embrace the challenges that come with business ownership and employ people. 

I love that! We are leaders and want to make a difference in the world.

It lead me to create a purpose-built Facebook group in which like-minded people can connect, share, learn, achieve personal and business growth, and help each other.

And this is only the beginning. As of next week, we'll be posting regularly on topics relevant for services-based business owners.
