I'm not being rude here. It's just a fact if you don't get this right. While I was working with a sales team yesterday, it occurred to me how much people are hard wired to market their message, communicate with other humans and network for business purposes in a way that TOTALLY alienates the brain. Have you ever heard of "premature invitation"? What it comes down to is us walking over to a stranger at a bar asking him/her to come home with us right away. If you ever tried this, no matter your personal charm, confidence, sales skills and communication abilities, chances are that you soon learned the hard way - in the face. The same way you wouldn't do this to start dating someone you fancy, you wouldn't go for the kill in your marketing messages. At least, until you assess how you have been doing it until now... It means that how you market yourself, your business, your services or product offering dictates how much you will earn each time as a predictable consequence. If you find yourself working hard, and long hours, for too little reward, think again. By the same token, if you find yourself to prepare too many quotes and proposals following time consuming meetings compared to the actual transactions that eventuate, think again. It's not that you are not likeable enough to do business with or that your offering is bad. Rather, it's that your marketing and sales process doesn't work. It's not built to produce consistent strong and reliable results. Once you are serious about getting your process right so that you start work smarter, you can pick my brain during a free 1on1 call with me. That's 45 minutes to help you come up with a solid plan based on science. Disclaimers:
