GOALS

Secret tool number two is: your goals.

GOALS for me is an acronym for “Guided Objectives and Aspirations for Life and Service”.

What I mean by that is, that we seek meaning in what we do, we value guidance and clarity about what truly matters to us, so that we can live a good life that suits us, while being of services to others.

What is it that you aspire to? What are the heart’s desires that you actively pursue?

No matter the chosen field or timeline involved, you can do it. You can achieve at both the small and the extraordinary.

I believe in you and hope that you believe in yourself too.

In my experience, many people don’t have goals. At least not real goals.

A real goal drives you to succeed. It guides you and links to your personal values and aspirations. Your heart is involved, while your brain sees clearly. Moreover, it is written down in line with a proven formula, and you have a specific timeframe attached to it so that you can be held accountable by others.

Mind you! There is a fine line with phantasies, hopes and wishes. They are definitely not of the same kind. The main difference being: they lack self-belief.

As one of my mentors taught me: one of the best things that we can do for ourselves, is believing that we will become mega successful sooner or later.

Great futures start with a positive thought like this.

In all the work I have done assisting people with goal setting and goal achievement, I have found one way to be impressively effective.

Try it out, if you like…

First write down your #1 goal as a positive affirmation. It follows the 3P structure: Personal, Present, Positive tense.

For example:

“I earn, buy, live, travel, make, generate, attract, become, enjoy, am, weigh…”

You write it down as if it is already true for you.

You then add a date for achievement, which keeps your goal in sight, while it also creates drive to do something every day that brings you closer to your goal.

The next step is very important. The mind feeds off repetition, so that your goal becomes integrated – even at cellular level!

Every morning, without fail, as soon as you wake up, you remind yourself of your number one goal. You put yourself in a place where you already achieved it, and allow yourself to feel the feelings that go with it.

For example: you might feel blessed and grateful, you could enjoy higher levels of self esteem, you might feel deeply loved and cared for, you might also feel absolutely free….

Whatever it is that you feel, you keep reminding yourself and reliving the experience internally long before it becomes ‘real’ in the outside world.

This is what we refer to as 'manifesting your goals'.

Stick at this practice as long as you need to make your goals a reality.
